MCQs Based Preliminary Test (MPT) Analysis - Overview

MPT Test 19 November 2023: a Complete Overview

The MCQs Preliminary Test commonly known as MPT, the  paper of MPT held in the country on 19th November 2023, in two batches. The paper started with Islamiat section signaling a shift in difficulty compared to the past two years. The challenging MPT aimed to justify its rigor, questioning the purpose of a high pass rate. Islamiat posed perplexing questions, particularly on Jizya and Sunnah.

Subsequently, Urdu unfolded, revealing an unexpectedly challenging set of questions. The difficulty seemed unwarranted, considering Urdu's non-compulsory status in CSS, prompting candidates to rely on other sections for success.

Integrating English questions into the Urdu section parallels the southern part of America infringing on the rights of the northern part, echoing the aftermath of the American Civil War (1861-65). Now the marks were past forty and the part that was received was not looking to pass.

The next part was English and this part was to decide whether you should fight the battle of CSS or sit out like the Pakistanis and watched the Final of India vs Australia. The English synonyms and antonyms did not disappoint at all as usual and flew overhead like the planes of the Allied Powers flying over the Germans in World War II. Some of the questions in the Grammar section were as heavy as the bombs dropped on Hero Shima and Naga Sagi by Little Boy and Fat Man. But overall, the English section was easy enough to crack.

For those unconvinced by English, the Math section served as a saving grace, akin to Australia securing Maxwell against Afghanistan. Despite the General Sign and Ability's toughness, full marks proved highly beneficial, similar to Pakistan's gain from Bangladesh in the World Cup. However, weaknesses in this section mirrored Afghanistan's impact on Pakistan in the same tournament for others.

By now, Mujahideen contemplating CSS warfare or providing support to others had made their decisions, akin to the United States supplying weapons and dollars to the Allies early in World War II. However, a significant 60-mark paper remained, comparable to the U.S. initially observing the Second World War and then emerging as a superpower. Some Mujahideen held back for this final part, acknowledging its overall difficulty, yet stalwarts pressed on while others contemplated taking a shot at the MPT.

"In this MPT test, those from a Computer Science (IT) background left empty-handed, akin to France's share in the U.S. War of Independence. Their fate mirrored Ranjha continuing to graze buffaloes while Heer was taken away. FPSC added a touch of Heer and Ranjha's love with the question

'آہ کو چاہئے اک عمر اثر ہونے تک.'

Despite the test's difficulty, pretending ignorance wasn't an option."
